Title: Posting Guidelines - Please Read
Post by: Dryball on August 25, 2008, 04:41:56 PM
Racial slurs, insults, and/or derogatory names for various ethnic groups will NOT be allowed on this forum. The first use of any of the above will mean immediate expulsion of the offending member! There will be no other warning then this one. Be warned!

Please bear in mind, this was started as a fairly laid-back site devoted to the enjoyment of muzzleloading as an affordable hobby, and we would like it to continue to be so. Posting in a spirit that might seem to belittle or exclude what others own, do, or enjoy should be avoided.

Even more importantly, this is a family-friendly site. The occasional off-color remark or joke happens at most family gatherings and is likely to happen here -- understood. However, the use of outright profanity or "substitute" words which serve the same purpose and are liable to give the same offense, will not be tolerated. There are children and some adults who log onto this site as members and guests, who either shouldn't or don't care to be subjected to inappropriate language. Keep it a mild "PG", please.

A common-sense definition of common courtesy when posting: be respectful of others' opinions and feelings, and, if it seems like maybe you shouldn't say it -- odds are good you shouldn't.

Due to the controversial nature of religion and politics their discussions cannot be allowed .

In addition the question has been raised about using information from other sites - here are some guidelines in relation to the use of material from other sites...

1.  ask the owner of the site if you can repost the material on this site...

2. Give the details in your post ie "reprinted with permission from XYZ site"  This may encourage others to go to that site

3. all other rules apply (no inlines or modern stuff)  if there is information about these items in the article, but you feel it is an article we need to know about (for safety or something) then post a warning about it and just post the link to the article.

If you need help feel free to PM me and I will help you.
