Been a long time since I updated this, figured it was about time. As it turns out it's a darn good shooter. Took a family hunting trip last season with my father, grandfather, myself and my son out in west Texas, not far from Sanderson and got this little buck. Was a great trip, the tyke did surprisingly well for it being his first hunting trip and only three years old.

You did good, congrats!  Tell us a little more about your hunt when you get a chance.

Very cool! Glad you stopped back in to update, thats a beautiful buck and the rifle is simply gorgeous. Just curious what the terminal effects were for you and what load you used, as William said " tell us about that hunt!". Congrats,  J

Where we were I wasn't gonna have a shot further than 50 yards and these dear aren't real big so I used a little lighter load, 65 grains of FF. It did the trick, hit him right behind the shoulder, he ran about 20 yards and dropped. The ball passed through both lungs, and stopped just under the skin on the other side, was able to recover it. Here's a picture of it with a quarter for size reference, gives a better idea on how it expanded. Darn pleased with how it shoots, gonna have to work up a heavier load for larger game soon.

A perfect example of why a RB needs to be as close to 100% lead as you can get.  Outdoors is the best classroom!
