Pedersoli Frontier Flintlock Opinions

I am wanting a flintlock rifle and have only shot percussion rifles to date.  I would like to have a custom or semi custom but can not justify the expensive purchase at this time unless I sell some other rifles. I have a Cabelas Blue Ridge rifle in .36 percussion and a conversion to flintlock would be one of the least expensive options.  Has anyone used one of the Pedersoli Frontier rifles or Blue Ridge rifles in flint.  Your opinion would be appreciated.  Thanks, ET

I had one of the Blue Ridge in  36 cal and I think it may have been
one of the sweetest shooting small bore I have ever shot.
My problem with any of the Pedersoil is they do not make them with a left handed lock, so I gave it to my son, when I was able to pick up a semi
custom with left handed lock

I picked up a used flintlock Frontier Rifle in .32 caliber 3 years ago.  It's the one in my signature.  I haven't been able to hunt with it a lot.  I know one thing if you keep the bore clean, the rifle is deadly on squirrels.  If I ever have the opportunity to get another Frontier rifle in a larger caliber, at a bargin price, I'll surely get it.

Don`t have a Pedersoli in a Frontier but do have a Pedersoli flint .45 Pennsylvania,it is a keeper! :)

squirrel

I have a Frontier in .45 and .50.  Haven't shot the .50 much yet ,but I have a lot of squirrel and a deer to the .45.  It was my first flinter and I love it, wouldn't trade it for anything.  It patterns well, but not a "match" shooter.  Very reliable, light, easy swing, treat it right and it will treat you right.

I have the Kentuky by Pedersoli in .50, great shooter, kilt many critters with it. Like to have a frontier in .36 or .40. Maybe one of these days.
