If you haven't ever read the book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" It should be the very next book you pick up and read.  I've read it before.  Reading it brought me through stages: feelings of anger, tears and hopelessness.  I can also recommend "Month of The Freezing Moon"  By Duane Schultz  {Chronicles The Sand Creek Massacre}
