i just recently got into the sport after dreaming of a rifle of my own for ever.  i had plenty of opertunity to buy "hawkin" style rifles and other half stocked rifles but i wanted a full stock gun.  found a ultra hi made by miroku japan, .45 "kentucky" rifle and bought it cheap.. only thing i know is it shoots good, and miroku made these rifles sometime in the mid 70s as well as made shotguns for winchester and browning.  should be of good quality.  has anyone else had personal expirece with these guns, maybe give an idea for loads, usually i shoot 70 grains bp with pbr.  loads for targets and small game to lager game would be appreciated.

Can't help with loads but I do have a Browning cartridge rifle made in Japan. It is of very good quality too. My only problem has been with the sear spring losing it's memory after a few thousand rounds. I believe the manufacturer is Howa.

Micanopy

Seems I recall they are much like CVAs. Mine likes 80 grains of FFg Goex, hornady .440s and a 15 greased patch. Kills 65 pound pigs out past 100 yards.
