I was at the AZ Game & Fish Expo yesterday. My wife, Peach Pie, is a NMLRA Field Rep & was manning our booth. I went down to where some local BP shooters were offering a free "shoot a muzzle loader" to the public. I spent over 5 hours loading & teaching newbies to shoot a muzzle loader. I estimate I loaded 200 rifles, maybe more. There were six of us going at a similar pace. All powder, patches, ball & caps / flints were donated by us. I estimate we had in excess of 1500 people shoot a muzzle loader for the first time, from youngsters as young as 5 to one fella approaching 90 years old who brought his great grandson, who also shot. They are doing it again today, with another half dozen volunteers. Just another example of how we can reach out to the public...

BTW there were other opportunities to shoot air rifles, small bore, big bore, archery, clays, etc. but BP was the only one that was free...

I actually took one shot, from the hip & nailed a pig at 25 yards. Prolly never do it again but it sure wowed the tourists...
