scrim on an old horn

after doing the vine layout on the little .40cal i thought i would make a similar design on a horn that i already made for it  it is basically the vine and flower that is on the stock. what ya think mine is not rally scrim but more folk art.?

Nice stuff Tom.  I have noticed several posts on several forums of really old horns that guys have come across lately.  They make nice pieces for comparison.

Scrimming horn is hard work for me.  It feels sticky and it drags, and I have trouble getting nice curves cross grain.  I like to work ivory.  I knew a guy that had a legal ivory business, and I got a lot of scrap from him, and used to play with it a lot.
