Pistols for sale...

"The 10" flintlock barrel has 1-32" twist, in case anyone wants to know, which ought to deliver better accuracy out of a pistol than the 1-48" CVA uses on their pistol barrels (which I'm still convinced are cut-offs from rifle barrels). It came off a CVA Blazer in-line and is NOS, never fired, same as the barrel on the longer of the two fullstocks.

These pistols were built by Mike Lange from a box of parts I bought at a gun show. In all there will be a total of nine, three of which have already been sold (almost immediately). Shipping will be about $15 ea., maybe less.

I was tempted to sort of "misplace" the halfstock flinter ("I dunno, Rev, I could have sworn it went in the box with the others.... "). That one crosses over from "Frankenstein" territory to being a full-custom job. I don't think two parts off any one gun went into that one, and a lot of what you see there never saw the inside of the factory that made CVA firearms.

I will mention, also, that though the bottom pistol has the sort of trigger and lock combo that makes for notoriously heavy trigger pulls on a lot of the older CVA/Jukar/Dikar/etc pistols, this one's of a more than manageable weight and the hammer nose even lines up properly with the nipple. A review of past topics involving this particular model (this was more-or-less what CVA marketed as their "Colonial" model, before I attacked it) will show that atrocious trigger pulls and hammer noses striking only vaguely in the vicinity of the nipple were common problems, which happily this one gun is free from.
