I came accross this verse today

Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

The Lord can work with a open and humble heart.

Just thought this a good verse , a promise

An excellent verse that puts things in perspective for me.  I hope it will bring comfort to someone else as well, thank you for posting it.

Even on the rare occasions that it is given to any of us to be truly in control and still have things turn out well -- it is good to be humble about it. I plan and I pray and proceed on the assumption (near-certainty, actually) that though my plans might work out and my prayers might be answered, neither will go quite as I might have expected or hoped. Humility allows me to actually enjoy the uncertainty of it all.
