Hello, and thanks for the warm welcome!

About me?  Well, I am a deputy sheriff and have been shooting since I was 5.  However, I have never shot black powder, but have had an interest for years.  Probably sparked by reading about Mountain men as a kid, my love of military history(BA) and having been a volunteer at Bents Fort in college.

I have been googling around looking for information before buying my first rifle when I found a link here over on AR15 in the black powder forum.  So, I figured lets check this out and see if I can learn some stuff so I don't mess up when I get my first rifle(planning on a flintlock long rifle right now, but still learning).

Hope to have fun and learn a bunch so off to start reading!

Thanks for taking a moment to tell us a little about yourself and your BP interests.  I am sure you will receive way to much information to help you find the right muzzleloader for yourself,  these guys and gals are not shy about their favorite black powder firearm... Myself included  :)
