heres another corn cake recipe

Got this recipe from a camping friend, he uses them as a side or as a breakfast with syrup.

                   corn cakes
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons soft shortening
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup corn meal
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg


beat egg well, then beat other ingredients in. fry  in skillet in a little oil.

kind of like a pancake.

let me know how they are, I've not made them yet.

I have one somewhere that uses a can of creamed corn in it.   Sure picks it up.

I cant find it right now.
