Found this excellent condition Dickert Flintlock.
Bought it, got it delivered, and made modifications to a couple specs & components I would have ordered if I'd had it built...and all that done in 6 weeks instead of 8 months or more...debut at the range in the morning.

Now now we would not want it getting caught in customs.... send it to me instead.....  ROFL

05/15/10 .45cal Dickert Range Report

40 shots sitting in a chair like sitting against a tree deer / squirrel hunting
Deluxe Siler upgrade, and the new patent breech worked perfectly, ignition seemed instantaneous, never had to touch the black english flint.

Started with plinking loads at 25yds:
50grns Goex 3F
.018" pillow ticking
Hornady .440"

Single ragged hole accurate at 25 yards, but the combo was pretty loose...I could start it with my forefinger and figured it wouldn't hold up to the hotter powder charge of a deer hunting load.
Switched to .022" pillow ticking, much tighter fit, still extremely accurate.

Then tried my deer hunting load at 50yds:
90grns Goex 3F
Oxyoke OP wad
.022" pillow ticking
Hornady .440"

Also extremely accurate...the weight of the straight 7/8" x 42" barrel was not too heavy at all and being slightly nose heavy it hung rock solid on the bull's-eyes.

Need to replace the front sight that came with it and file the new one to match my load and shooting style as it prints a bit too high as is...already got some spare front sights on hand from TOW in anticipation of this.

Fit, function, and accuracy of this .45cal Flintlock is perfect...definitely a keeper.
