[hmm]  Hey fellers question is this.I was going to try out my 32 Frankengun. I ran a cleaning patch on a 32 jag down the bore before loading.Seems that this gun has a larger chamber .I could feel the jag pop into the chamber and it got stuck there.Took about a hour of wiggling and turning to git it back in the bore.Anybody got any tips for cleaning this thing? Should i jest use a slotted jag for cleaning?

That sounds strange.  I have never had that happen on any of my muzzleloaders.  Could the boring for the breech have gone way too far?  Or something else to make the powder end of the barrel larger.

had it happen with a Traditions Crockett rifle,i think they call it a pattened breech. I ended up putting 4f in the drum until I had enough to shoot the jag out. if possible the best way to clean one is remove the barrel, put the breach end in water and clean with a bore mop instead of a jag and patch.

You mentioned in your other post ("It's Alive") that you'd used a .32 GM barrel for a T/C Hawken. I wonder if they didn't use a breechplug designed for use with a larger caliber. Factory T/C plugs have a chamber distinctly larger than .32 caliber, which is only a hair over 5/16", and using one in combination with a .32 caliber bore would create the problem you describe. I haven't messed much with the aftermarket plugs, such as are found on the  GM drop-in barrels, but the few I've dealt with had chambers, again, that were at least a hair larger than 5/16".

Really brother, you should be shooting a more manly caliber, .54 and up, and leave those, let's just say, smaller calibers for the women & kids (& of course us girl boys out here in the nanny state)   couch  (I'll hide behind the couch cause that .32 won't make it through.   ROFL   ROFL)  Seriously though, do you have a longer jag for it? I know that of the dozen or so jags I have, they run from 1/4" to 1/2" long. Perhaps a longer one would not get caught up in the breech chamber.
I am the one your mom warned you about!

[hmm]  Yeah i have the long tapered jags that Track of the Wolf sales. Its just that wewn ya reach the breach she opens up some .

Hope yours is like Mongrel discribes..only a tiny bit (5/16+) bigger.  I ran into an off brand 36 barrel with a 50cal breach....sleaved the breach with bronze bushing press fitted to fill it to 3/8 and works well...

The patent breech on my Frontier .32 is smaller than the bore, which I think is what a patent breech is supposed to be. The one on my TC Hawken .50 is smaller than bore as well. Neither one will allow a jag to enter the breech. I'm not sure why whomever patented this system thought that was a good idea, but enough others have adopted it to make be believe there is some positive reason for it. It kinda makes cleaning the breech a PITA, but I guess I'd take that over getting the jag stuck down there. If the edge of the jag is hanging up on the bore, I don't think trying to shoot it out is going to be a good plan though.

I think I'd give serious consideration to having the breech sleeved as DandJ did. If the jag will fit in there and catch, could be a PRB with a light charge (or a dry charge) would too. Could be a bear to get out should that happen.  :-&

I would have to agree with Dandj and  30Coup re sleeveing the breach. I just measured an old TC breach plug and the face of the powder chamber is over 5/16" and the depth is just over 3/8". Your patch and/or jag is goig to hang up on the rear face of the barrel every time. Continued shooting will likely cause some potentialy serious erosion of the rear face of the barrel also as it will be difficult to clean.
