I have been doing everything by hand with little to no help from power tools. not done yet the powder horn is prepped to start the inlaying. I am going to start that today once I get my honey do list completed. I have been working on my horn while I am at work. I am rarely home so the honey do list comes first.

Can't decide if I should go with deer antler strap holder or as a cap on the end.

I finally got one of the silver pieces to stay in place. Had to use rubber bands to help hold silver in place. After two days of trying everything to hold wire in place. I was walking through wal-mart and seen some rubber bands. I guess sometimes the simplest things are the best answers. So far silver wire is staying in bedded in horn.lol

I have completed the silver inlay. Can't down load photos from my work computer. Will post the pics on sunday the 1st of March. It was kind of a pain but I did managed to do it. It's a simple design. But it looks good on my black horn. Can't wait till I completely finish it.

Here are just a few pics with the silver inlay. My horn is almost done. I have to do a few more things. Then buff it out and add a strap then I will finally be done with this one. This one will be for my little .36 cal.

And one more pic. If anyone has any suggestions about what I should change let me know. I plan on buying a couple more horns next weekend. And start working on another horn when I go back to work. The next one won't have any silver on it. I plan on practicing on scrap pieces before I do any more horns like this one.

The pics are a little fuzzy, but looks good. Ya done good gettin' the wire all symmetrical!

Jeco   Here's a tip that will save you some work. When horn base is ready for the wood I press it on a foam dinner plate, then cut the circle out and fit it in to the horn, then i trace the foam circle piece on the wood I am using for base plug.  Dilly
