Got this from a dealer a number of years ago. Was .38 cal,I think, the bore was soooo bad, hard to tell. tried to slug the barrel, lead got stuck! Re-barreled with a De-Hass{spelling?]. it's now a .40 with the barrel dia. of 1 1/16" with the end of to barrel rounded in the last 1" or so. Shoots great. I don't shoot her often enough, addicted to flinters.

Thanks guy's. I keep all the original parts of guns I put back into working order. I'll be changing the lock soon, lots of slop in the hammer, sear very worn. I prefer to make a replacement part fit the piece and save the original parts in case I want to sell the gun.

Razor

That is one fine looking gun... thmbsup

Roaring Bull

Quite a beauty....I'd keep her worked out if ya need me too!

is that an original? I got a buddy near me who collects ohio rifles, mostly P.A.Reinhard's. The Log cabin shop also has a nice collection of ohio rifles. Thats a nice lookin' piece, even though it has a funny lookin' lock! ;D

Yes,it is an original, was told a Gunsmith named Stackhouse built it and i haven't researched him yet. The cap is something rather foreign to me. I started with a Pedersolli Brown Bess back in the '70's before I knew you couldn't hunt with it. I did it anyway. The Ohio gun is deadly on squirrels, but "Ole Wormy" whines to much when I go without her!

Stackhouse...I'm going up to the Cabin on the 28th, I'll look around in the museum and see if they have any of his work.
