i have learned from my canadian freinds how bad shipping can be. i know a couple of local guys i get things from wont ship overseas because theres a trend of some countries buying things and patterns and making cheap copies, like india and pakistan. really hurts the indiviual like bernie.

this is a slilly question, but do you have Wal-mart? I have made 3 blanket shirts from patterns I bought there for "tunic" style modern shirts. definitely not PC and I wouldn't want to be juried for them, but they are warm and comfortable. (I hear there isn't "documentation" for blanket shirts anyway (match coats yes, blanket shirts no) I'm not sayin I agree or know - just tellin ya what I've heard...

It would just be the same as a hunter shirt but realy heavy material. Thats why they call it a blanket shirt, they usually used their blankets to make their clothing. Sometimes they had a caped hood, to use for the warmth. I have made capotes before and all you do is leave it like a shirt not cut down the center.

this is one I made out of a Pendleton Blanket.  I loved it that the stripe on the sleeve is the same direction as the bottom of the shirt, that was just luck.

Wow!  Zan that's a neat looking shirt.  I'm so sensitive to cold I may have to get several blanket shirts.  Maybe one big one to wear over my hunting coat!  ;D

i wonder why ? if the  people of that period ,was smart enough to make a shirt from a blanket you would think that they could have made a pair of long pants  also from a blanket for cold weather. ???
