Is there sucha thing as a contraption that is driven into the ground a little that you lean yer rifle on for loading?  I was taught to hold it between my knees but my gut is in the way, so I was to put the butt on my boot and load liek that with one hand.  Don't work too well.  At our shoots I lean the barrel against the table and load that way, muzzle pointing away down range of course.

I usually place the butt on my left foot and hold with my left hand.  Do all my loading with my right hand. just seems to come natural that way.  On occasion will put the butt on the ground but something seems to not make me comfortable with that, don't know exactly what though...............Bullfrog

I've always used my boot to load my long guns...

It's not what tool you use to hunt with.
It's that you use the tool Legally and Ethically

I have seen a few of these showing up at the shoots lately. It is used alot by the CASS guys, but it makes an excellent range cart. Heres the link...http://www.cherokeegunclub.org/parameters/cherokeegunclub/uploads/dl/Cowboy_Downloads/Gun_Cart_Plans/Rough_Rider_Gun_Cart_Plans.pdf
