Wild Ed,
Those Howdah`s are quite impressive!
Wasn`t there a movie with Michael Douglas where he used a pistol similiar to a Howdah( might have been one)!
The movie was about the infamous lions  that were killing the labourers that were building a railroad in Africa!
These lions are mounted and on display at a museum in Chicago.

Oh my I gotta have one of those NOW!!..........LOL...Awesome!! I was watching
Shooting Gallery (with Michael Bane) and there was a gentleman that had an original Howdah 10 Bore. No telling what it was worth, but it was nice. Here is a link to an original that I found. Very nice weapon!!
